Over my career, I have led the redesign or first design of several enterprise-level websites. Site redesigns require user research, usability studies, site flows, wireframes, development and, of course, design. There are many stakeholders involved, and building consensus is key. I have included four case studies in this section.

Case Study 4: DanTrachtman.com (previous version)
My website is decidedly not an enterprise level site, but I have chosen to include it anyway because it is fun, playful and displays an aesthetic I don’t usually get to share. The first version of dantrachtman.com launched in 1996, and since then there have been seven others. My personal site allows me the opportunity to experiment creatively and without compromise. These sites have actually won more awards than any of my professional ones.
The one below was created from visual ephemera taken from my collection of mid-century print matter juxtaposed against vector art. It was animated in HTML5 and CSS3 and included ambient animations such as butterflies moving closer and farther from the lens, a tiny tightrope walker (second frame) and subtly turning stars and wheels. It also included an extensive collection of my photography and MFA work.
